Marsha F. Kite, MS **CHARTER MEMBER**

Marsha has spent the past forty years in the formal, informal, and experiential study of human behavior and wellness.  Her education includes BA and MS degrees in psychology; post-master’s studies in integrative medical approaches (nutrition, botanical medicine, meditation, yoga); pharmacology; individual/group psychotherapy; treatments for substance abuse, and training program design.  Marsha studied with Dr. Bernard Vodnoy (South Bend, IN), a well-known health educator whose expertise was widely respected.

She has practiced privately, in medical offices, counseling agencies, correctional facilities, and in homeless shelters.  She also managed a USDA nutrition program supervising childcare facilities and offered  corporate workplace presentations on nutrition.  Marsha has taught college courses in wellness, human growth & development, and children with special needs.

Since 2001 she has practiced in the Charleston, SC area, offering individual consultations, workshops, and classes. Marsha sees her role as a guide—providing structure, reliable information, helpful resources, and support—as clients explore different paths to wellness. The plan creates a path of very manageable steps.

Marsha has a particular interest in Aging in Place, choosing to remain in one's home.  As a person with those same desires, she has researched practices that have demonstrated their value and adapted them to her own lifestyle.  A three-session program for seniors helps to set realistic goals and develop a personalized wellness plan.  This can be done either in Marsha’s office or in the client’s home.
